Methodology for planning and interpretation of nature in the transition area cerrado-caatinga in Bom Jesus - PI: Trail of the Cedars

Abstract

The Environmental Interpretation is to translate technical information into language easily understood by people. In the south of Piaui, where there is an accelerated replacement of native vegetation for agriculture and pasture areas that have tourism potential, often considered of little value for human communities could be subject to the Nature Interpretation techniques in an attempt to awaken in people's interest to cooperate in their protection. The objective of this study was to describe the Cedro Trail, located on a private property in the city of Bom Jesus, PI, and to propose practical Nature Interpretation on site. The Cedro Trail, some years ago visited for recreational purposes has on biodiversity. However, the water level of the creek that the trail provides access has declined, indicating the importance of deploying techniques of interpretation of nature in place so that they serve as input to the recovery of the headwaters of Cedar Creek.
