Abstract

There are many techniques can be used to metals determination in environmental samples. Nevertheless metal speciation has become the more complicated step to improve in analytical chemistry, since knowledge about toxicological level of metals in different oxidation state is important to environmental. The application of capillary electrophoresis of zone  (CZE) is growing as excellent tool to study and quantify species of metals. In this research, we propose a development of CZE system to speciation and determination of metals in water samples. The proposed system was tested for speciation of Cr(VI), Cr(III)-EDTA and Fe(III)-EDTA in water samples collected in Açude da Marcela and in a Tannery, both located in Itabaiana SE.
