Abstract

Forest fragmentation is one of the great problems facing humanity, mainly caused by human action, which must increasingly consuming natural resources, agriculture expansion, not worrying about the damage that can be caused to future generations. Therefore this study was to analyze the composition of a piece of greenery in the city of Caxias/MA, obtain floristic similarity with other fragmented areas and provide subsidies to conservation, management and restoration of vegetation fragments. The botanical material was identified in the family rate, genera and species by means of analytical keys by means of comparative morphology and by sending a plant specimens to specialists. For floristic used the software Bio-dap. As a result of floristic survey found 41 species, 39 genera and 23 families. The richest families in species were Caesalpiniaceae (6), Anacardiaceae (4), Rubiaceae (4), Mimosaceae (3), Sapindaceae (3) and Apocynaceae, Connaraceae, Flacourtiaceae, Malpighiaceae with two species each. In the analysis of similarity was found rates below 50% showing low similarity with the areas compared.
