Abstract

The objective is to analyzed the contributions of philosophy, from the perspective of the theory of communicative action Habermas, training administrator, thus establishing a theoretical essay on the possible relationship between administration, via philosophical and instrumental rationality, and communicative rationality. This is a qualitative research, bibliographic and analytical-interpretative character featuring exposed to two distinct, instrumental and communicative rationality directions, but both essential to the formation of the administrator and their social reproduction process. This in communicative action and rationality the role of philosophy wins in this work, a privileged space for reflection, for being able to produce productive approaches announcing reasoned action possible, which helps to understand and even offer new perspectives shaping the future administrator.

Eric Charles Henri Dorion, Universidade de Caxias do Sul

Dr. Eric Dorion holds a Doctorate degree in Business administration - Université de Sherbrooke, Canada (2003), a Master degree of Business Administration - Université Laval, Canada (1997) and a Bachelor degree in Geography - Université Laval, Canada (1985). He is currently professor at the University of Caxias do Sul (RS), Brazil, the University Feevale (RS), Brazil, and he is visiting professor at l École de Technologie Supérieure (Que), Canada. Dr. Eric Dorion leads a research group untitled Multidisciplinary Research on Innovation and Competitiveness. Dr. Dorion has experience in the area of Administration with emphasis in Business Administration; acting mainly in the following subjects of: organizational studies, management of innovation and sustainable development, project management, business strategy for small and medium companies, and entrepreneurship. Professor Dorion has established a research network with focus on BRICS countries, but also lectured in Canadian, French and some Brazilian universities and companies. Dr Dorion is Honorary Consul of Canada for the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), at Porto Alegre.
