Resumo

The objective of this work to synthesize 4 – ethyl – aryl – methacrylamide from methacryloyl chloride with 4 – ethyl – aniline by addition reaction. The motivation for obtaining such organic molecule is the fact that allows modifications that lead to polymerization to obtain amphiphilic polymers of relevant
industry interest. The synthesis process occurred in two stages, where the first stage we obtained the methacryloyl chloride and the second stage to this whit 4 – ethyl – aniline. The characterization of the product was performed by H1 NMR, which confirmed the formation of the desired product.
